Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Showroom Assistant who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours - 7.30 – 5.00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise customer interactions to support sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products, offering specific product advice.
  • Work with the team to deliver an excellent customer experience and work towards Showroom sales and profit targets.
  • Build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers and realising the full potential of all customer interactions.
  • Place customer orders with suppliers and advise customers of anticipated delivery dates, scheduling delivery dates to meet customer needs and arranging appropriate transport.
  • Advise customers of trading terms and conditions relating to customer accounts as required.
  • Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion, continuously aiming to improve customer experience, and supporting all Company initiatives.
  • Keep the showroom clean and tidy, performing day to day housekeeping and also launching any sales promotional activity.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a Kitchen/Bathroom Showroom would be beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service skills with proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Experience of generating sales within a dedicated retail showroom or other relevant sales environment.
  • Knowledge of CAD design and design software would be beneficial.
