Description Summary: Manages the operations of the showroom and staff while supporting outside sales for the region. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct supervision and training of showroom staff. Works well with outside sales reps. Works to increase showroom sales Communicates with customers to determine their needs and provides the appropriate service. Initiates and follows-up the tracking of all orders with corporate office. Insures showroom operations are completed efficiently Arranges and puts up new products for all fabric lines Pulls all discontinued patterns from all lines. Prepares daily and weekly reports of showroom traffic and sales Insures weekly reports are completed and submitted each Friday Answers Phones, Takes orders, checks stock, and advises customers of delivery. Maintains and balances petty cash for showroom. Implements corporate policies. Implements safety and good housekeeping practices. Uses personnel, materials, and equipment effectively. Is responsible for dealing with customer and staff conflicts should they arise Performs other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management Requirements Qualifications: Has equivalent to high school education, college preferred Sales experience required Should be on sales floor the majority of the day Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel Ability to work with designers on projects and help select fabrics for projects. Able to lift 40 lbs. Must be dependable. Has excellent organization skills and basic math skills. Has superb interpersonal skills, works effectively with others and motivates employees.
