The Gerdau Whitby Shredder has been a part of the local community for over 60 years.

• Hand pick items such as copper bearings, wire harnesses, rags, dirt, rubber, foam, etc. place into separate containers
• Operate and routine inspection of mobile equipment.
• Monitor and report operating condition of production equipment, as required.
• Complete and submit checklists or equipment care documents associated with assigned task(s)
• Job performed primarily in standing/static position
• Rotating shiftwork
• Wearing heavy clothing, as required and job appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Assist in maintenance planned/unplanned tasks as required
• Assist in tasks to support production efficiencies and up time
• Assist with plant housekeeping efforts and perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.When operating mobile equipment follow all prescribed safety guidelines
• Perform daily checks to ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order.
• Working at heights
• Working in adverse weather conditions.
