Description
JOB SUMMARY: Serves in the capacity of custodial support staff to all departments in order to facilitate the destruction of documents. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather documents from predetermined locations
Shred documents
Place any remaining documents in predetermined disposal locations
End with “Other duties as assigned.”
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION: Evaluated on?criteria listed on?established?standard Glenwood Medical Associates annual evaluation form, and meeting performance standards outlined above.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports directly to the Health Information Manager. If Health Information Manager is unavailable reports to the Operations Manager
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: light lifting.
Responsibilities
The Shredder is responsible for gathering documents from predetermined locations and shredding them according to established guidelines. Additional duties include placing any remaining documents in designated disposal locations.
