Description
Division OmniSource Overview Supervises and coordinates shredder production and maintenance. Responsibilities Operate Shredder. Perform preparations for start-up and shut down in accordance with established procedures. Direct activities of production employees. Be a good communicator. Monitor attendance of employees. Train new employees. Responsible for maintaining equipment, grounds, and building. Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of shift. Remain compliant with state and local laws and company policy. All other duties as required. Have extensive knowledge and perform maintenance on the shredder as needed. Ensure spare parts are maintained at an appropriate level. Qualifications Extensive shredder operation and maintenance knowledge. High School diploma or GED. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions. Ability to frequently work with heights. Strong verbal and written communication skills to successfully interact with employees and management and effectively complete paperwork. Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel). Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail. Must be highly self-motivated. A clear understanding of and adherence to safety regulations.
