We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Shunter Driver to join our Production team and Plant team at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, playing a vital role in keeping our yard operations and trailer movements safe and efficient.

• Safely shunting trailers between company sites, customer premises, and third-party yards.
• Managing yard operations with our Plant team, including trailer clearance, rotation, and positioning to support collections and incoming deliveries.
• Conducting daily vehicle and trailer checks, reporting any defects promptly.
• Ensuring safe coupling, uncoupling, and movement of trailers across different yard environments.
• Adhering to DVSA and EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations, including tachograph procedures where applicable.
• Supporting operational efficiency by coordinating trailer availability with the Production team.
• Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures.
• Completing other reasonable tasks as required to support the smooth running of the yard and production operations.
