Job Details Job Location: Div 2 | LBNL - Berkeley, CA 94720 Salary Range: $28.27 - $28.27 Hourly About the Company: RydeTrans was founded in 1979 and incorporated in 1996 to provide safe and high-quality transportation to people in the East Bay. We serve a diverse group of institutional customers such as public transit agencies, governmental entities, school districts, health care providers, and social service agencies, as well as private customers. We provide a wide array of transportation products, including paratransit, fixed route, shuttle, charter services as well as ADA eligibility assessments. About the Job: The Shuttle Bus Driver provides passenger shuttle bus services for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This service consists of fixed routes that primarily run from Downtown Berkeley and nearby BART stations and bus stops, up to the Lab, which is in the hills above the UC Berkeley campus, and to offices in Emeryville. This is a private service for lab employees, scientists, and approved visitors. Our vehicles have a capacity of 30 passengers. Shifts/Schedules: The shuttles run Monday – Friday. 6 Hour Shift guaranteed, with possibility of overtime. Job Details: Job Type: Full-time FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt (meaning eligible for overtime pay) Union Position: Drivers are represented by the Teamsters! Wage: Competitive wage of $28.77/hr. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possession of a valid California Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement is required. Must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years. Demonstrated safe driving record is essential. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test is mandatory. Must be comfortable and proficient with technology. Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused attitude are necessary.
