Guest Interaction * Greeting guests warmly, provide information about the local area, and answer questions about hotel services and amenities. * Address and resolve any guest concerns or special requests during transit. Vehicle Maintenance * Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition. * Report any mechanical issues or damage promptly and schedule regular maintenance or repairs. Safety Compliance * Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety. * Maintain a valid driver’s license and any required certifications (e.g., commercial driving license, if applicable). Record-Keeping * Log trip details, including mileage, destinations, and passenger counts. * Keep records of maintenance schedules and fuel expenses if required. Coordination with Hotel Staff * Communicate with the front desk to coordinate shuttle schedules and guest pickups. * Adapt to changes in guest schedules or special transportation requests. Cleanliness and Presentation * Ensure the shuttle vehicle is clean, organized, and stocked with any amenities (e.g., bottled water, brochures). * Maintain a professional appearance and provide a friendly, welcoming experience for guests. Emergency Preparedness * Be prepared to handle emergencies or unexpected situations, such as accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or medical incidents, in a calm and professional manner. Promoting the Hotel * Act as a brand ambassador by promoting the hotel’s services and offerings during interactions with guests. * Provide local insights and recommendations to enhance the guest experience. Punctuality and Reliability * Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs per the schedule to avoid unnecessary delays. What We Are Looking for in a Hotel Shuttle Van Driver includes: * Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle (e.g., Class C or CDL if driving larger vans or buses).’ * Clean Driving Record: No recent traffic violations, accidents, or driving-related criminal offenses. * Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent * Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction. * Time Management and Organization: Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. * Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.
