Position Overview This position delivers product between company locations in a safe and efficient manner. The shuttle driver will be expected to serve in the warehouse in between deliveries. The ideal candidate is a safe driver with strong organizational and deadline practice. Major Responsibilities and Expectations: Helps the pick center warehouse dock personnel with trailer load function and securement. Use of a pallet jack and other tools and equipment needed for loading and unloading process. Drives company Class A vehicle as needed for purpose of transporting loads to sites and/or picking up freight at predetermined locations. Loads and unloads delivery route trucks at assigned depot or distributor locations. Professional communication with customers and staff members. Maintains high safety standards both driving and while working at various locations. Maintain clean truck cab and other company owned equipment. Comply with company guidelines, procedures, rules and regulations. Perform daily proper pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer reporting (DVIR’s)and full use of ELD reporting, while following all DOT. Regulations to include HOS and safe driver compliance. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and safe work environment. Able to work a mid-afternoon to evening shift with overtime as needed, have the ability to work Sunday through Thursday schedule and Fridays on occasion if needed. Requirements Valid Class A driver’s license and good driving record required with current Medical Card Must have ability to lift 70+ lbs. Pallet jack certification experience is a plus Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug test Comfortable working in cold temperatures Be flexible on start times.
