Description Part-Time Shuttle Driver (Swing Shift) Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack Position Summary Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and guest-focused Part-Time Shuttle Driver to provide transportation services for guests during swing shift operations. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression by ensuring safe, courteous, and timely transportation throughout the property and designated locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate company shuttle vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws. Transport guests and team members to and from designated property locations in a professional and courteous manner. Provide exceptional guest service by greeting passengers, assisting with questions, and offering directions when appropriate. Assist guests with entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle as needed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of shuttle vehicles at all times. Monitor shuttle schedules and routes to ensure efficient transportation services. Communicate effectively with Security, Valet, Transportation, and other departments regarding transportation needs. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Respond appropriately to emergency situations and report incidents immediately. Maintain confidentiality of company and guest information. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous professional driving, transportation, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Experience operating passenger vans or shuttle vehicles is a plus. Required Licenses and Certifications Valid Louisiana Driver's License with a clean driving record. Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy. Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong commitment to guest service excellence. Ability to operate vehicles safely in varying weather and traffic conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of property layout and surrounding area preferred. Reliable attendance and punctuality required. Requirements Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle. Ability to frequently enter and exit the shuttle vehicle. Ability to assist with light lifting, carrying, and loading of guest belongings up to 25 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach as required. Work Environment Casino, racetrack, parking areas, and designated transportation routes. Must be able to drive our sprinter Exposure to varying weather conditions, vehicle traffic, and outdoor environments. Fast-paced hospitality and gaming environment. Schedule Part-Time Position Swing Shift Hours Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and race days as business demands require.
