Description The Distribution Center Shuttle & Logistics Operator is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment between company branches and for supporting daily distribution center operations. This role ensures equipment is properly secured, facilities remain organized, and deliveries are handled professionally to maintain operational efficiency and asset protection. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transportation & Compliance Operate scheduled inter-branch shuttle routes safely and on time Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain accurate daily driver logs Ensure all equipment is properly wrapped, secured, and protected during transport Assist with customer-facing equipment delivery, placement, and removal as directed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness, including proper moving materials (blankets, straps, bubble wrap, etc.) Asset Handling & Protection Load and unload equipment in a safe and efficient manner Inspect cargo for visible damage and promptly report issues to leadership Assist with sorting and staging return loads upon arrival at the distribution center Distribution Center Support Help maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and bay areas Operate ride-on floor cleaning equipment to support facility standards As needed, assist with shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment As needed, provide internal delivery and material movement support between company facilities (e.g., transport of supplies, records, or office materials). Requirements Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to safely lift and move equipment (50+ lbs. routinely) Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including ride-on floor cleaning machinery and forklift Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Prior warehouse, delivery, or logistics experience preferred Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and sitting (driving) Indoor and outdoor work in warehouse and loading environments Operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment Occasional overnight travel required (company-provided hotel accommodation and per diem) Maintain safe driving record and adherence to all safety standards Ensure on-time shuttle departures and deliveries Prevent avoidable equipment damage through proper securement Represent the company professionally during branch and customer deliveries Maintain organized and clean work areas
