Second in Command – Falcon 2000LX
Role Overview:
A private investment firm is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Second in Command (SIC) to support operation of a Falcon 2000LX based out of Miami Executive Airport (KTMB). This full-time position requires relocation or residency within one hour of KTMB.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a steadfast commitment to safety, exceptional customer service, and strong crew coordination skills, all while adhering to company SOPs and contributing to a collaborative flight department culture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the Pilot in Command in all flight operations and decisions to ensure the highest safety standards.
  • Assist in all phases of flight planning including weather analysis, weight and balance, aircraft maintenance status, and flight routing.
  • Ensure full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company SOPs, customs, and immigration procedures.
  • Actively participate in Crew Resource Management (CRM) briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Assist with pre-flight and post-flight responsibilities including inspections, fueling oversight, passenger briefings, and discrepancy reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow crew members and support staff to maintain seamless operations and consistent service delivery.
  • Provide an exceptional service experience tailored to the needs of owners and passengers, while addressing special requests or challenges as needed.
  • Stock and groom the aircraft to ensure continual operational readiness and presentation standards.
  • Show willingness to be present at the airport on non-flying days to support aircraft readiness, maintenance coordination, and flight department tasks.
  • Uphold a strong customer-service orientation with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency scenarios.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings; ATP preferred.
  • Current First-Class or Second-Class Medical.
  • Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours, with preference given to candidates demonstrating recent, high- volume jet experience in demanding operational environments.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of aviation experience; prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FARs, aviation safety, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
  • Proven track record of professional, safe, and customer-focused flying.
  • Demonstrated commitment to CRM, crew coordination, company SMS, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and support an on-call, flexible travel schedule.
  • Must live within one hour of Miami, FL (KTMB) or be willing to relocate.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior Falcon 2000LX or similar size jet experience.
  • International flight operations and familiarity with customs and immigration procedures.
  • Experience operating under Part 91 operations.
