The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to solve problems while delivering outstanding customer service. This person should be comfortable working at heights, in varying weather conditions, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. A Day in the Life of a Sign Service Technician Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on illuminated and non-illuminated signs Diagnose electrical and structural issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs safely and efficiently Climb ladders, operate bucket trucks, and work at heights safely with fall protection Use basic hand and power tools, measuring tapes, and electrical testing equipment Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding service updates, timelines, and any unexpected issues Complete detailed service reports, including before-and-after photos of each job Collaborate with the project management team to ensure jobs are completed to company quality standards A Few Qualifications This Person Must Have Must not be afraid of heights and able to work comfortably at elevated levels Must know how to read and use a tape measure accurately Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required) Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical skills Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and schematics Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb, bend, squat, and work outdoors in varying weather Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this role.
