Job Description Egis is looking for technically excellent Signalling Design Engineers to join our Railways and Systems team. This is an exciting time to join us as we are growing due to recent multiple significant project wins throughout Australia and New Zealand. As a Signalling Engineer at Egis, you will be responsible for the general signal design, inclusive of production of signal designs and final checking. This role may also participate in independent design review functions and leading designers for minor to medium sized projects. In this role, you will: Design of high-level signalling documentation such as technical requirements; Control tables; Scope of works; Aspect sequence charts; Signalling arrangements; Power calculations; Bonding plans; System architecture; Cable plans; I/O allocations Design of infrastructure assets including Trackside signalling infrastructure; SCADA/telemetry systems; Train detection systems; Level crossings; Traction; Vital and non-vital interlocking systems Checking high-level signalling documentation and infrastructure assets when required Lead a team of designers for minor to medium sized projects as and when required Test and commission signalling systems and maintaining signalling and associated supporting systems Collaborate and participate in bids/tenders, producing high quality advice and documentation Qualifications Ideally, you will have demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in railway signalling with specialist knowledge of conventional signal design and relevant MTM and V/Line signalling competencies. In addition, you will also have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar) Accreditation from Engineers Australia Membership with IRSE highly desired RPEV registration highly desired MTM / V/Line competencies Demonstrated experience in railway signalling design with understanding of Australian requirements Demonstrated knowledge of Australian railway standards and guidelines and ability to adhere to industry best practices Strong planning, organisation and problem solving abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Additional Information We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
