Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Signatories Representative is the initial point of contact for employers seeking to become signatory to the DGA’s collective bargaining agreements. They are responsible for guiding employers through the signatory process by reviewing and verifying production-related agreements, evaluating projects to determine which financial assurances would best protect DGA members while preparing and collecting financial assurances forms. The Signatories Representative will independently manage a revolving portfolio of projects in a deadline-driven environment seeking guidance from the Executive in Charge of Signatories and report when necessary. This position is onsite at our Los Angeles headquarters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and summarize chain of title documents and other production-related agreements such as financing agreements, distribution agreements, and director agreements
  • Independently draft customary financial assurances forms
  • Regularly correspond with producers, attorneys, and members regarding the signatory process, clearly and accurately articulating guild policies
  • Keep internal database updated with the most current project information for interdepartmental use
  • Timely file documents with US Copyright Office and Secretaries of State
  • Research entertainment financing and corporate structure
  • Perform other duties as assigned
