Voyago is Hiring 1 Part Time Signing Authoritie/School Bus Driver! Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Signing Authority/School Bus Driver is responsible for ensuring employees are trained to operate all school purpose vehicles safely and professionally. They will also drive a school route ensuring students arrive to and from school safely and on time. Your Role Responsible for ensuring employees are trained to operate school purpose vehicles safely and professionally Deliver training programs to new and existing drivers, ensuring compliance with company standards and legislative requirements Conduct driver evaluations and road assessments to confirm skill and safety levels Provide instruction for licence upgrades as required (B class and E class) Deliver divisional and company-specific training modules (e.g., safety, customer service, policies, Q-Straint training) Train drivers on safe and professional operation of all company vehicles Maintain accurate training records, assessments, and certification documentation Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and methods Provide feedback and mentorship to drivers to encourage continuous improvement. Attend and complete ongoing professional development (e.g., PRIDE program or equivalent) Travel to various company locations across Southwestern Ontario to deliver training as needed Maintain a regular school route in addition to training duties Your profile You have held a valid B Class licence for a minimum of 3 years (mandatory) You possess a clean Driver’s Abstract and a Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening You have strong customer service experience You demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills You are comfortable being assigned a school route in addition to your training responsibilities You are knowledgeable in wheelchair tie-downs and Q’Straint systems You have previous instructional or teaching experience You have prior Driver Assessment experience You are willing to attend and successfully complete the Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) program (Voyago will cover the cost of certification and associated expenses) You are comfortable travelling to various Voyago locations across Southwestern Ontario when required You are comfortable working in this role on a casual basis based on company needs This role is unionized Job Location This position is all in off at 573 Admiral Court in London Hourly Rate The rate for this position is $22.88 per hour By joining the Voyago Transit team in London, you’ll find: We offer a competitive hourly pay We offer full time employment We offer on the job training and job shadowing We provide opportunities for growth We offer comprehensive benefit package The perks We support the development, work-life balance and well-being of our employees We build a supportive corporate culture that encourages diversity and enables our people to flourish.
