Warrah is a disability services provider based in North West Sydney. Inspired by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, Warrah has been offering quality support and services for adults and children living with disability for over 50 years. Warrah is a vibrant community, enriching the lives of individuals through our broad range of services, which include Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Support Services (CSS) and Warrah Specialist School. We also have a certified Biodynamic Farm and Farm Shop.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a SIL Coordinator you will lead a team to deliver high quality support that is aligned to best practice and provides opportunities for participants to explore their potential.
You will have a strong focus on collaboration, quality, compliance and continuous practice improvement together with skills and interest in strengthening team engagement and performance through coaching and practice reflection.
You will require skills and knowledge in observing changing support needs of those who are aging, have complex health and medical needs, together with a deep understanding of implementing positive behaviour support strategies and allied health management plans.
This role includes some direct support shifts where you have an opportunity to model best practice, walk beside your team and observe any changes in support needs. You will also have an allocation of non-direct support hours to enable you to perform administrative tasks related to participants, staff and the broader organisation, collaborate with stakeholders and ensure that all relevant compliance requirements are met.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday with a range of start and finish times that span between 6am and 8pm. We will discuss set rosters as part of the application process. This is a SCHADS grade 4 position with the level being agreed based on qualification, skills and experience.
