Job Title: Electronic Design Engineering, Senior/Principal Role: Silicon RF IC Design Engineering Job Description: Design market-leading mixed-signal and RFIC components in Silicon and Silicon Germanium technology. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Take responsibility and ownership for the full silicon design lifecycle. Simulate and design IC circuits based on available device models, parameters, and design rules. RF layout and EM simulation Work within a multi-disciplined project team. Contribute to the product through the entire product development and release cycle Key Competencies Required: In depth understanding of a variety of RF/Microwave/Silicon IC Design e.g. SOI, RF CMOS, SiGe BiPolar and BiCMOS processes. Cadence Virtuoso and ADS expertise. Experience in some of the following areas is desirable: Wideband optical drivers and trans-impedance amplifiers Bandgap reference voltage generation and other analog circuits: LDOs, peak detectors, DACs, etc. Understanding of the overall product flow from definition to qualification is also required. Experience with EM simulation and RC extraction tools. Understanding of RF/MW systems and specification tradeoffs. Job Qualifications: MSEE with minimum of 3 years' experience or BSEE with a minimum of 5 years' experience with relevant coursework and semiconductor industry experience. Ability to characterize products hands-on in the lab Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the specific ability to speak to various technical and management levels Ability to work well in a global team environment. Good planning and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Willingness to travel when required. The Salary Range for this position is $84,000 - $166,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
