Description Position Summary: A Silicone Injection Room Operator utilizes injection molding machines and drill presses to mold and core silicone parts to fulfill daily production requirements in accordance with the production schedule. Key Job Responsibilities: Run injection molding pumping stations and injection molding machines. Run drill presses. Monitor product quality to ensure injection molded parts are made to specifications. Cores injection-molded parts. Ability to understand tolerances and use basic measuring equipment (tape measures, calipers, etc.) Collects and reports manufacturing performance data. Reviews and completes work orders (paper-based and electronic). Maintains a clean working environment through regular cleaning of the cleanroom and equipment, along with 5S. Follows all cleanroom gowning procedures. Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Technical school credit is a plus. Basic computer skills. Must have a very high level of attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with management as well as other team members. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision. Experience with injection molding machines preferred. Experience with Arburg and Engel silicone injection molding machines and processing equipment is highly desirable. 3 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
The technician operates injection molding machines and drill presses to produce silicone parts according to production schedules. They are also responsible for monitoring product quality, maintaining cleanroom standards, and documenting manufacturing performance data.
