CALLING ALL EXPERIENCED SILK-SCREEN OPERATORS!   WE ARE LOOKING FOR 2 SILK-SCREEN OPERATORS - POSITIONS AVAILABLE ON THE 1ST SHIFT (6:00AM TO 4:30PM) AND 2ND SHIFT (4:15PM TO 2:45AM).  FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE AVAILABLE INCLUDING MEDICAL, DENTAL, LIFE, DISABILITY AND 401K WITH A 100% COMPANY MATCH UP TO 3.5% OF EMPLOYEE'S ELIGIBLE COMPENSATION. JOB SUMMARY The Silkscreen Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining silkscreen printing equipment to apply coatings, patterns, and finishes to glass components used in appliance manufacturing. This role ensures high-quality, consistent output while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Set up, operate, and adjust silkscreen printing machines for glass panels and components 2. Apply paints, inks, and coatings to glass surfaces according to specifications and production requirements 3. Prepare screens, stencils, and materials for production runs 4. Monitor print quality, alignment, and adhesion throughout the process 5. Inspect finished products for defects such as misalignment, smudging, or uneven coating 6. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of silkscreen equipment and work areas 7. Mix paints and coatings to required specifications, ensuring consistency and proper viscosity 8. Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to minimize downtime 9. Follow all safety procedures when handling glass, chemicals, and equipment 10. Maintain accurate production records and report any quality or mechanical issues QUALIFICATIONS 1. High school diploma or equivalent required 2. Previous experience in silkscreen printing, glass manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred 3. Familiarity with industrial printing equipment and processes 4. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery 5. Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production schedules SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 1. Attention to detail and commitment to quality 2. Hand-eye coordination and precision 3. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 4. Strong problem-solving skills 5. Team-oriented with good communication abilities 6. Ability to follow standardized procedures and safety protocols WORK ENVIRONMENT 1. Manufacturing/production facility (appliance glass) 2. Exposure to paints, solvents, and industrial equipment 3. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required PREFERRED (OPTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS) * Experience with automated or semi-automated silkscreen machines * Knowledge of glass tempering or coating processes * Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
