Role Summary
As a Warehouse Manager at Silver Cove, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and outdoor yard spaces, actively seek out wholesale buyers, and support logistics for both our retail locations and events division. Your role includes organization and time management, pricing and labelling, maintaining accurate pricing and inventory records, operating equipment, managing and approving keystone(wholesale) customer files, maintaining and expanding the wholesale website and supporting retail sales initiatives. You will also assist with the setup and tear-down of our Red Deer Rock N’ Gem Shows.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
  • Supervise, schedule, train and maintain quality warehouse team members
  • Manage Keystone program: actively seek out, vet and approve applicants, maintain digital and physical records, and communicate updates to all stores/road teams
  • Maintain the master pricing reference document in the shared Excel workbook; send regular updates to management
  • Actively engage with and upsell to primarily wholesale clients.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment including forklift, backhoe, tractor, pallet jack, weed eater, Lawn mower, Sawzall, and basic power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard area
  • Track inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with sales and customer service in-person and online
  • Ensure safe, secure, and efficient handling of all materials and equipment
  • Support content updates on the company website and coordinate with retail for consistency
  • Communicate with department heads, store managers, and road crew to support team goals
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to company procedures·
  • Assist with larger events within 150 km of the warehouse to promote wholesale and the company as a whole.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Class 5 or higher driver’s license
  • Forklift operation certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Experience operating equipment such as a forklift and backhoe
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience supervising and training team members
  • Familiarity with POS systems and Excel-based inventory tracking
  • Experience with retail or warehouse software
  • Customer service skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to multitask in a self-starting environment
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Interest in rocks, minerals, and fossils with a willingness to learn

Physical Demands/working conditions
· * Lifting and moving up to 40 lbs unassisted
· * Frequent standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment
· * Working both indoors and outdoors in changing weather
· * Shared accommodations when traveling (if required)
· * Performing yard work duties: mowing, weeding, general site upkeep
· * Supervising and directing temporary or casual help
· * Adherence to safety protocols during all equipment and material handling
