Responsibilities
  • Project Collaboration:
  • Engage with project engineers and managers to understand process requirements, gather relevant process data, and accurately define simulation objectives.
  • Model Development:
  • Develop and implement tooling reliability models to estimate downtime for equipment and tools.
  • Create discrete event simulation models to map process flows and incorporate the stochastic (random) nature of equipment downtime.
  • Simulation & Analysis:
  • Run simulations using statistical sampling techniques to accurately estimate process throughput.
  • Apply design of experiments (DOE) approaches and iterative simulations to identify key variables and bottlenecks affecting process performance.
  • Results Communication:
  • Present analysis results and improvement opportunities to management and customers, making clear recommendations to achieve efficiency and process targets.
  • Communicate findings in a way that informs and supports simultaneous engineering and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Integrate feedback into ongoing model refinement, ensuring updated analysis throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Site Support:
  • Willingness to travel on occasion (short or extended trips) to customer locations for project support or data collection.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating potential concerns in both KUKA and customer environments.
  • Support the company’s Quality System and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
