Job Description Your tasks: Driving the standardization and continuous improvement of simulation methods for power electronics components and control units, with a clear focus on efficiency; acting as a key interface within the international development network, ensuring alignment, knowledge exchange, and methodological consistency across locations; actively contributing to competence management in the field of simulation by building, maintaining, and sharing expertise and best practices; close cooperation with Design for Reliability engineers to shape and evaluate device and system concepts in early development phases; acting as a simulation generalist, covering a broad range of virtual methods while being able to select the most appropriate tools and approaches for a given problem; identification of the optimal design solution regarding load and load capability using virtual modelling and FEM simulations; understanding and application of physics of failure concepts, accompanying and supporting lifetime modelling and durability assessments; mastering damage mechanisms and physical cause–effect relationships of design elements and selecting suitable simulation methods and tools accordingly; development and optimization of simulation methods with respect to accuracy and efficiency, including the use of data analytics, data mining, and machine learning; documentation and presentation of simulation results for multidisciplinary project teams; cooperation with international development locations (Germany, Hungary, China, India) and collaboration with national research institutes. Qualifications What distinguishes you: You combine strong analytical skills with a deep physical understanding and a strong sense for practical engineering relevance; you are curious, open to innovation, and motivated to continuously improve methods and tools; you work in a structured and quality-oriented manner and take responsibility for your results; you enjoy collaborating in international and interdisciplinary teams and actively share knowledge.
