Role Overview You will be responsible for the development of SkyDrive’s complete aircraft real-time capable simulation models deployed on desktop computers and piloted engineering simulators. The simulation model is used for aircraft design and certification activities, for safety of flight assessment prior to actual flight test and for test pilot training. You will be involved in the development and integration of simulation models with the company’s engineering simulation devices. You may also be called upon to develop, support, and maintain the simulation team’s software tools used to increase the team’s productivity and efficiency. These tools include requirements management, version and configuration control, data visualization, automation of tasks. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in modelling and simulation Flight Dynamics Simulation of electrical and mechanical systems Software specification / development for integration of aircraft hardware, simulated hardware, visual/audio systems, and host computer, C++/Python/MATLAB/Simulink and automatic code generation Desirable Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems Experience in flight simulation Experience in validation of simulation Experience in system identification Knowledge of simulator qualification practices Experience in aircraft flight and ground test Experience in use of simulation for certification Target Candidate Possesses a genuine passion for the challenges and complexities inherent in developing revolutionary "eVTOL".
