Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Simulation Officer to support the delivery of high-quality practical teaching activities across Nursing, Midwifery, and the wider Health Group. This fast-paced role offers significant variety in daily tasks, requiring a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to self-directed learning to contribute to outstanding student simulation and practical experiences. Working under the supervision of the Team Leader and Technical Manager for Simulation & Practical Experience, you will be responsible for: Identifying and coordinating material and equipment requirements for laboratory and teaching spaces in Anatomy and Physiology practical activities. Providing technical support for clinical simulations, including set up, pack down and demonstrations of simulation and clinical equipment. Developing and maintaining up-to-date specialist knowledge of new and emerging technologies used in simulation education. Implementing and responding to Work Health and Safety policies, procedures, guidelines and risks to ensure a safe working environment for staff and students. This is a continuing, full-time position, primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) Campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus university, you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,254 - $104,616 per annum. You will also have: A relevant Health-based degree with experience providing technical support within a health environment. Experience supporting health or laboratory-based teaching in a university setting, and/or the ability to quickly adapt within a complex organisation. Developed critical thinking skills with strong organisation and attention to detail. Strong WHS compliance knowledge within specialised teaching environments. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork. High-level computer skills, including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, email and online resources. The ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing requirements and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
