JOB DESCRIPTION

Simulator Engineer (Electrical/Electronic) - Submarines

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As the Simulator Engineer you will

  • Ensuring that the Royal Navy have maximum availability of the MRTs and associated training equipment.
  • Fault finding and repairing simulator hardware and software (recording running hours and defects) and maintain spares stores.
  • Representing Rolls-Royce by liaising with Royal Navy at different sites and provide training to the simulator staff on simulator operating procedures.
  • Maintaining security of confidential information and equipment.
  • Carrying out any post design service activities and site acceptance testing alongside in-service personnel.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Fault finding skills within electrical/electronic and computer systems/networks; ( experience of using Profibus is desirable, however, training is available.)
  • Electrical/Electronic system testing experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable follow processes and procedures
