The UK C-17 International Training Centre (ITC) in Farnborough, provides both aircrew and maintainer training to a wide range of international operators of the C-17 platform.
We have an exciting opportunity for a C-17 Globemaster III Simulator Flight Instructor role within a highly regarded team based at the C-17 International Training Centre in Farnborough.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold, or have held, a Military Green Instrument Rating or Civilian Instrument Rating.
  • Hold, or have held, a Combat Ready operating category on military multi-engine aircraft or Type Rating for non-military Pilots.
  • The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • C-17 Globemaster III experience.
  • Instructional experience and/or qualification to C&G Level 3 AET (or above).
  • The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures and functions.
  • Skill and ability to: collect, organise and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Management experience
  • IT proficient, specifically on Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver simulator and ground school pilot training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate training, apply standardised teaching techniques and carry out demonstrations when required.
  • Apply evaluation procedures and methods to comply with appropriate military and civilian regulatory agencies to achieve contractual standards and certification requirements.
  • Evaluate/examine the competence of students in accordance with company and customer regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct analysis to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.
  • Establish processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness. Use specialised software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
  • Gather data to support and complete proposal development activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of training products.
  • Coach and develop others.
  • Provide training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met whilst adhering to company policies and processes.
  • Embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing on any defects and speaking up.
  • Identify and correct conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public, and customer safety.
