We have an exciting Trainee Technician position within our Sinclair fruit labelling business with a proven technical aptitude working with their hands.
The successful candidate will based in Paarl while he/she receives on-the-job training in Citrusdal, Paarl and Grabouw to become a Sinclair technician. Upon completion of training, the candidate will be relocated to Marble Hall, Limpopo and will take ultimate responsibility & ownership of all technical aspects of installing and maintaining Sinclair labelling equipment at customer sites.
We are looking for candidates who are practical & capable as well as self-motivated, energetic and willing to learn.

They must have:

• A technical background with an affinity for electrics
• Computer literate (good understanding of MS Word, Excel.)
• Minimum N3 or grade 12
• Completion of an electrical and/or mechanical course would be an advantage
• Prior work experience would be a big advantage
• Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Logical, methodical way of working
• Self-disciplined and able to work independently
• Strong work ethic
• Valid Driver’s license essential– code 8 or 14
• Physically fit, healthy, and energetic due to the physical nature of the work
• Willing to travel both nationally and internationally
• Able to work after hours when required
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be adaptable and able to fit into an existing team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintenance on label applicators and cassettes
• Servicing of BVC pumps and chop and blow pumps
• Installation of labelling machines
• Servicing of complete labelling machines
• Removal of labelling machines
• Fault finding and repairing of labelling machines
• Delivering labels to customers if and when necessary
• General housekeeping of workstation and general workshop area
