Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Regional AW (Artwork), is responsible for leading Artwork Management and Manufacturing Global Change Control (GCC) with other cross-functions (internal and external) to deliver successful Project objectives.

  • On Artwork Management, he/she will manage/clarify the artwork changes (English) and translate into Japanese, to send to Japan vendors to execute the change, and to facilitate issue resolution with data owners (e.g the change cannot be executed due to space constraint, to facilitate Printer/Regulatory/Technical team to agree on resolution on timely manner), leverage each data owner’s expertise, and escalate when risk to project timeline/cost despite best effort from cross-functions.
  • On Manufacturing Global Change Control, he/she will lead/initiate Change Control on Trackwise QMS, collecting cross-functions’ risk assessment through closure, secondly, he/she will to update Artwork related information (changes made vs last version) on Production Sheet, thirdly, he/she will lead communication to Mfg plant and external vendors/printers on Project Status.
  • On System and Tools, Artwork Management part, he/she will leverage GLAMS (Global Labelling Artwork Management System), Trackwise (Quality Management System) and SAP (for interactions with Japan Manufacturing team). He/she will work with key stakeholders (internal and external, from diff locations) such as Artwork studio, Quality Assurance, Japan and Singapore regional Supply Chain; to deliver the overall project, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • For Mfg Change Control part of the role, he/she will leverage Trackwise QMS to perform the tasks. He/she will lead in providing timely update on project status, including anticipating and calling out risk (and proposed solutions) to project timeline, quality, cost.
  • On Continuous Improvement, he/she will play crucial role to champion Process Simplifications, Sharing/taking past learnings from and to Asia to other Regions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in Japanese and English is a must for this role, and preferably one other Asian language (but not required).
  • A minimum of relevant Degree in Business, Pharmaceutical or Science
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Packaging Artwork and/or Supply Chain experience
  • Attention to details, be able to connect different dots, and follow through from scope to execution excellence) is key to success of the role
  • Experience in Project Management is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of regulatory / quality requirements for Artwork Management
  • Experience of working in accordance with quality standards e.g. GMP, GDP
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other functions across the region
  • Ability to work towards and deliver tight timelines to support ad-hoc business needs, and identify what helps are needed, with no compromise on quality
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with broader team in international environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, using initiative and problem-solving skills when needed
  • Be both flexible and comfortable in fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, organizing and coordinating skills
  • Competent in the use of Artwork Management System; Adobe Illustrator is bonus
  • Good Microsoft skills especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Understand ethics, compliance, and business conduct issues pertaining to our industry
  • Experience in Multinational Company preferred
