Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse – CRITICAL CARE

An opportunity has arisen for a sister/charge nurse within the Critical Care team.
The post holder will hold a post graduate academic award in critical care and current/recent experience within the critical care setting. They will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and effectively manage the clinical area daily , while maintaining professional and trust standards.

Responsibilities

- - To effectively lead and manage the nursing team as required, ensuring trust vision is realised.
- - Maintenance of high standards of nursing care – ensuring adherence to trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
- - To take responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to critically ill patients.
- - Ensure the delivery of holistic patient care recognising the individual needs of patients and their relatives.
- - Lead the nursing team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual or promote a dignified death.
- - Provide effective leadership and management to nursing teams, always ensuring service provision.
- - To support capacity management and flow
- - Promote and safeguard the well-being of all staff, patients and visitors.
- - Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients, demonstrating courage to speak up as professionally required.
- - Prioritise workload effectively to manage competing priorities of the clinical area.
