Job Title: Neonatal Sister/Charge Nurse Band 7
We are the Lead Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for Surrey, dedicated to providing expert care for up to 28 of the sickest and most complex babies. Our team employs the latest non-invasive respiratory support techniques, including delivery room Vapotherm and SNIPPV. We also host the Surrey arm of the Neonatal Transport Service and have a neonatal community outreach team based within our unit.
We are passionate about Family Integrated Care (FIC) and believe in partnering with parents in the care of their babies. Our commitment to excellence has earned us accreditation in the Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) and the Bliss Baby Charter. Additionally, we have a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) where parents can stay with their babies until discharge.
If you are looking for a new direction in the wonderful world of neonates, your search ends here! We are seeking a dedicated Band 7 nurse who is eager to lead in an innovative environment where every team member makes a difference.
If you are ready to take the next step in your career and join a team committed to excellence in neonatal care, we would love to hear from you at our recruitment event on Monday 8th September 2025.
Your expertise and compassion can help shape the future of neonatal care in our community.
To have joint responsibility with other Unit Sisters for the operational management and service delivery processes within the Neonatal and Special Care Unit. This includes line management of all ward staff, managing and monitoring resources within a defined budget and contributing to the corporate agenda.
To lead and promote a quality service using research and evidence based practice including the setting and monitoring of clinical standards.
To act as the clinical lead within the Unit on a shift basis. To ensure safe staffing across the Paediatric Division.
