QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within industrial, waste management, or energy sectors.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask effectively as this is a pivotal support role to the Plant Manager and wider team
  • Familiarity with compliance and health & safety documentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Support Person to join our team at a modern Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative operations, supporting site management, compliance, and coordination across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Administration:
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications (emails, calls, post).
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and filing systems (digital and paper-based).
  • Provide facility management support to wider team
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
  • Operational Support:
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of site activities, meetings, and training.
  • Support procurement processes including raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • HR & Payroll Support:
  • Maintain staff records including attendance, training, and certifications.
  • Collating timesheet information in readiness for payroll
  • Support onboarding of new employees and contractors.
  • Finance & Invoicing:
  • Bookkeeping support using Xero
  • Purchase invoice processing
  • Sales invoicing
  • Assist with expense tracking and budget monitoring.
