Job Summary:
A Site BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes on construction sites, ensuring that digital models are accurate, accessible, and aligned with project requirements. This role involves coordinating with project teams, overseeing BIM standards, and facilitating efficient communication between design and construction phases. Essential Duties/Responsibilities include some or all of the following:
- Oversee and manage BIM models on-site, ensuring they are accurate, current, and aligned with construction progress and specifications.
- Facilitate coordination between design and construction teams, ensuring the BIM model is used effectively for planning, visualization, and clash detection.
- Implement and enforce BIM standards and protocols, ensuring compliance with project-specific and industry-wide standards.
- Conduct regular model reviews, clash detection analysis, and quality checks to identify and resolve potential issues before construction.
- Assist project teams in using BIM tools for site coordination, visualization, and decision-making.
- Support project documentation, ensuring that model data and drawings are accurately updated and organized.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate communication and resolve any discrepancies in the model.
- Train and support site staff in using BIM software and tools effectively, enhancing digital literacy on-site.
- Prepare and maintain reports, BIM execution plans, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Travel to any job site as needed. This could include the need to drive a vehicle, fly in a commercial airplane, ride a train, taxi, etc. This position requires the ability to travel nationally or internationally for extended periods of time (weeks, months or years).

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong experience with BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and digital modeling techniques.
- Solid understanding of BIM processes, standards, and applications within construction and design phases.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among project teams.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education, Experience, and Training:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in project architecture or a related role, with a proven track record.
Training: None
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Standing for extended periods of time while at a work site (if applicable)
- Walking up to 3-4 miles a day from one part of a job site to another (if applicable)
- Climbing stairs and ladders could be expected if working in a field environment (if applicable)
- Travel greater than 50% of the time.
