We look forward to having you part of the team!Site Civil Engineer or Site Structural Engineer

Your new company

You will be joining a well‑established engineering consultancy known for its work across residential and commercial land development. The organisation delivers structural and civil engineering design, certification, and on‑site support, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and practical problem‑solving. As part of this team, you will work closely with builders, designers, and internal engineering specialists to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Australian standards. This environment suits someone who enjoys both technical work and hands‑on site involvement, and who values clear communication and professional growth.

Your new role

In this position, you will operate as a Structural / Civil Site Engineer responsible for bridging the gap between design and construction. Your work will include conducting regular site inspections, signing off on critical construction stages, and ensuring all works align with approved engineering plans. You will support design and certification tasks, including documentation such as Form 15 and Form 12, and assist with structural elements like floor framing, wall bracing, tie‑downs, and suspended slabs. You will also act as the primary point of contact for builders, responding to RFIs and resolving on‑site issues when unexpected ground conditions or material changes arise. Coordination will be a key part of your day, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams while preparing and submitting site documentation and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Safety will remain central to your role as you assess constructibility and project risks to maintain compliance with standard safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant Engineering Qualifications — A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Industry Experience — Ideally 1–5 years across civil or structural engineering, with exposure to both site and design work.
  • Technical Skills — Strong understanding of construction methodologies, soil testing, and CAD software, supported by excellent analytical and numerical capability.
  • Communication Strengths — The ability to liaise confidently with builders, clients, and internal teams.
  • Certifications — Eligibility for RPEQ is highly desirable, along with standard safety certifications such as a White Card.

What you'll get in return

You will step into a role that offers a balance of office and site‑based work, exposure to diverse projects, and the opportunity to develop both your technical and practical engineering capabilities. You’ll work within a supportive team that values collaboration, professional development, and high‑quality engineering outcomes. This position provides a strong platform for career progression, particularly for engineers seeking to build toward RPEQ registration and broaden their experience across residential and commercial development.
