Description WithersRavenel is recruiting a Project Manager to join the expanding and innovative Site Civil Practice Area in our Charlotte office! Can you take projects from design through permitting, while leading an outstanding team? We have a place for you! What makes this role unique is that you will be joining our Site Civil team that works across a wide range of land development sectors (multi-family, commercial, industrial, and retail) throughout North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast. We deliver successful results for clients on projects ranging from infill and redevelopment sites to large mixed use parcels spanning hundreds of acres. To summarize, this role is a great fit for someone who is technically skilled, interested in client management and in team development. This is a hybrid role working out of our Charlotte, NC office, where employees and supervisors collaborate to establish an in- and out-of-office schedule that “works” for all involved. Responsibilities Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, resource and staffing needs while collaborating with clients and teammates throughout the organization. Oversee and participate in the cultivation of existing client relationships including periodic client meetings, proposal and budget development, and obtaining feedback in conjunction with Marketing and Practice Area teammates. Prepare agreements and oversee the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications and construction cost estimates. Analyze complex technical opportunities and devise new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions. Lead, coach, and mentor Team Members to achieve the goals and strategies for the Practice Area. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field Licensed Professional Engineer, preferred 8+ years of progressive professional experience, including proven independent project management skills on small to mid-size projects and team coaching abilities Successful completion of Project Management and Supervisor trainings, or demonstrated equivalent experience Strong leadership and team coordination skills Solid client service and relationship management experience Proficiency with project management tools, budgeting and scheduling Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Working Conditions The assignment may require infrequent evening/weekend work and job site visits outdoors. Candidates should enjoy working in collaborative, fast-paced, and client-driven environment. Physical Requirements The assignment may occasionally require repetitive physical tasks (such as operating a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, extended time travelling in a vehicle, and carrying equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
