Position:

Join NHOA Energy Australia and lead the on-site delivery of cutting-edge battery energy storage projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Site Construction Manager to take full ownership of construction activities on BESS project sites in southern NSW, leading multidisciplinary teams with a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.


What you’ll do:


  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise all on-site construction activities (civil, electrical, mechanical)
  • Lead day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to completion and handover
  • Monitor progress, schedule, costs, and performance, proactively managing risks and delays
  • Manage subcontractors, site personnel, logistics, equipment, and material deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership, including Stop Work Authority when required
  • Oversee site documentation, daily progress reports, NCRs, and reporting to the Project Manager
  • Lead site walk-downs, punch lists, quality inspections, and readiness for commissioning
  • Act as main on-site leader, ensuring alignment with Project Manager and broader project team


Requirements:

What we’re looking for:


  • 5–7+ years of experience managing construction activities on complex EPC projects
  • Proven experience in BESS, renewable energy, or power infrastructure projects
  • Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade qualification/licence
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety, quality, and electrical system commissioning
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on medium to large-scale projects
  • Fluent English communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
