ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Site Contracts Managers role will ensure the planning and overseeing of multiple site installations to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion. Designating project resources, maintaining budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping key stakeholders informed throughout the project.
Determine and define project scope and objective.
Day to day management & coordination with the GC (General Contractor) & specialist Subcontracted vendors both offsite (initial factory based commissioning) & onsite.
Ensure coordination with internal departments, such as LV switchgear, MV Switchgear, EPMS & Busbar.
Organise Site teams by developing clear project milestone matrix’s and selecting the right products and specialists’ disciplines for projects execution. Manage, support, and monitor progress through completion of works.
Plan, manage, and monitor progress against our & clients expected standards and procedures whist maintaining and promoting best practice.
Manage finances against budgets and targets –site related.
Maintain and enhance relationships with our staff and customers through proactive management.
Promote and participate in innovations and best practices. Keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the business maintains its competitive position, through innovation and current industry best practice.
Promote the business in all interactions and communications with customers
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Provide a planned and proactive approach to work demonstrating organisational skills, effective communication & teambuilding.
Utilise team and support staff in the delivery of multiple projects.
Assume overall responsibility of the successful delivery of all projects assigned.
Liaises with other teams on project-related matters, ensuring full oversight of management and resources is offered to each individual project to maximise client satisfaction i.e., lessons learned from similar project executions.
Mentoring the site team dedicated to the projects and coaching of team members; providing leadership and motivating teams to meet their project goals.
Comfortable managing multiple sub-contractors across Elec/Mech disciplines.
Assisting in process improvement, offering guidance and support in any procedure developments, as and when required
Develop Industry standard site documentation such as, RAMs, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Logistics plans etc.
Understanding of client driven commissioning platforms.
Familiarity with client ‘tagging’ platforms, representing equipment milestones.
Familiarity with industry leading commissioning platforms such as BIM360, Compass, Aconex etc.
Knowledge of UK/EU in country legislation surrounding electrical installations & fire alarm systems etc.
Review and approve Main contractor and client test documentation, E&I are required to facilitate all levels of Integrated Systems Testing following the Site Acceptance Testing of our equipment. For this reason, knowledge of the overall electrical system is required, the interface between boards, generators, PMS etc. is all tested at this level.
Fault finding, problem solving, and explanation of design is required to verify the operation during the CX program i.e. should the contractors or client have a question regarding the operation or features on the equipment the CX manager should be equiped to answer or find the answer.
Issues with design, faulty equipment, required materials is required to be communicated with the relevant PM at E&I & also relevant sub-contractors so changes, materials etc can be controlled to ensure swift turnaround of unexpected issues/sbnags.
Develop a quality culture of ‘zero tolerance’ within your site team by ensuring:
- compliance with all client & company procedures and processes
- ongoing identification and correction of non-conformance
- ongoing identification and correction of underperformance
