POSITION SUMMARY:

The 21st Century Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) afterschool and summer program at the Warren County Boys and Girls Clubs. This position ensures that program activities are implemented with fidelity, align with grant requirements, and meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of participating students.
The Site Coordinator provides direct supervision to program staff and volunteers, maintains positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners, and ensures a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Duties include program planning, staff scheduling, attendance tracking, compliance reporting, and communication with the 21st CCLC Program Director.
This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, along with the ability to motivate staff and engage students in meaningful learning experiences. The Part-Time Site Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student success, building partnerships, and ensuring that the 21st CCLC program is delivered effectively and consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of child care program administration and management.
  • Ability to direct programs through supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the 21st CCLC Program at the assigned site, including compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in the program; securing, scheduling, and maintaining the needed facilities; creating and scheduling the activities or events; and maintaining program records or files.
  2. Operate the 21st CCLC program in accordance with the regulations put forth by the NC Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
  3. Assures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to program areas; appropriate; ensures that Boys & Girls Clubs program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
  4. Follows the 21st CCLC program guidance to maintain and ensure all guideline requirements are met.
  5. Complete performance reports, student data spreadsheets, and all other required reporting to comply with the grant.
  6. Act as a liaison with the school system and other community agencies and partnerships representing BGCNCNC.
  7. Establish goals and unit objectives for the 21st CCLC Program that is consistent with those of the BGCNCNC. Review classroom lesson plans to ensure developmental objectives are being met.
  8. Coordinate, plan and execute the program and curricula for the programs with the teachers and program leaders assuring that the program provided meets the highest quality standards.
  9. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and appraise work of the Youth Development Professionals, Program Aides, Tutors, contract employees, support staff and volunteers. Maintain staff schedules and evaluate staff performance.
  10. Facilitate communication and provide leadership; models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  11. Give personal attention and supervision to every aspect of the 21st CCLC Program.
  12. Develop and implement a marketing plan for the program, ensuring monthly communications, and follow up phone calls to phone inquiries.
  13. Develop strong parent participation and community involvement in the program, working with the family engagement specialist, supporting employers, advisory committee and parent organizations.
  14. Monitor county and community activities and keeping abreast of current trends in this field. Participate in school and community events
  15. Work collaboratively with the school administration and classroom teachers to ensure program aligns with the school district goals.
  16. Participates in club programs and special events as requested.
  17. Carries out additional responsibilities and assignments deemed necessary by the 21st CCLC Program Director and the CEO.
