The required skills for this role include strong organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth day-to-day operations at a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site as well as smooth execution of client services and representation under the LITC. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, along with excellent interpersonal skills, are essential for effectively engaging with clients, volunteers, and partner organizations. The role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive client information with discretion and confidentiality. Cultural competency and the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds are critical. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IRS regulations and tax site protocols and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, particularly during tax season. Preferred competencies include bilingual proficiency (Spanish and/or ASL), and technical troubleshooting skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Site Coordinator II plays a critical role in coordinating the day-to-day operations at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, ensuring high-quality, client-centered experience that aligns with IRS standards and organizational goals, as well as providing intake and client support to the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). Reporting directly to the Director, the Site Coordinator II is responsible for overseeing all aspects of site logistics, including volunteer coordination, client intake, workflow management, and quality review. This role serves as the primary liaison between the site and host organizations, addressing any facilities or technical issues, while also ensuring proper execution of procedures and adherence to confidentiality and compliance guidelines.
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, culturally sensitive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment – particularly during peak tax season. This position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
