QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree) or Related Field of Study (Bachelor’s degree)
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in people management. Minimum ten (10) years of experience in an operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business Administration (Master’s Degree)
  • Strategic knowledge of production operations management for quality, yield and cost
  • Experience in out-sourcing standard manufacturing work (machining, assembly, etc.), including internationally, to reduce cost
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management; Supply Chain management desirable
  • Advanced problem solving ability, Strong ERP understanding and Root cause analysis

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a Best-in-Class Manufacturing operation (Center of Excellence) relentlessly driving strategy toward growth and achievement
  • Partner with key leadership in the development of a strategy to achieve short- and long-term operational and business development objectives; direct the submittal of the organizations Annual Operating Plan and business’s financial forecasts and response plans
  • Direct and coordinate all plant functions including Manufacturing, Materials, Production Control, Purchasing, Planning, SIOP, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Shipping, Facilities, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to assure common direction toward plant goals
  • Guide and support the plant quality system in procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction, DPPM (defective parts per million), first pass yield and warranty results
  • Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale, and employee engagement while leading and supporting the development of plant employees and succession planning activities
  • Partner with the Operational Excellence team to ensure the effective development and delivery of programs to teach the workforce lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as problem solving, A3 thinking, leader as coaches, Kanban/pull systems, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, visual management, mistake proofing, 5S and cellular manufacturing
