ABOUT US

Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.
We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as a Site Electrician on a permanent basis to ensure all maintenance operations are carried out safely and efficiently in order to keep the site operational.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • A strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring, and related equipment.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • The ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and devise solutions.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (2 years+)
  • Previous experience in an ATEX environment preferable but not essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified electrician - L3 Electrotechnical Qualification or equivalent
  • (essential)

  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • A willingness to adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Installing new electrical systems in buildings and structures, including wiring, lighting, and outlets.
  • Inspecting and maintaining existing electrical systems/earthing systems to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems, such as wiring issues, faulty equipment, or power outages.
  • Using various testing devices to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Ensuring that all electrical work complies with local and national building codes and safety regulations.
  • Prioritizing safety by wearing appropriate safety gear and following safe work practices.
  • Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records of all electrical work, including inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Be prepared to attend courses relevant to the job.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and other tradespeople.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
