JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a Site Engineer whose responsibilities include analysis of hardware characteristics and comparison against design requirements; preparation and review of rack level and site drawings and plans; review of the content and details of technical products; and acting as a technical interface to the programs working level counterparts. Successful candidate will work as part of a small focused team, who will interface with peer-level team members and NT management to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available. Some travel required to support site survey and installations as required including travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Early-to-Mid-Career level hardware/systems engineering experience. Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to implement engineering plans within a project. Successful candidate will possess knowledge of systems and hardware engineering concepts, principles, and techniques. Familiarity with drafting practices and DoD Drawing requirements. Should also be familiar with common rack mounted computing equipment (servers and workstations) and networking equipment and cable selection to support interconnection and powering of selected computing equipment. Should have experience conducting in person site surveys preparing for hardware installations. Should be able to demonstrate ability to resolve tasks with limited guidance. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Recent experience and skills using MS Visio to design rack layouts and preparation and review of diagrams and technical drawings. Required skill areas include familiarity with the analysis of hardware requirements and support/perform related analysis (heat, weight, power). Candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Networking concepts including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls. Ideal candidate would have experience with Juniper hardware. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree with STEM coursework (prefer Math, Science or Engineering) and 3+ years of experience. Mechanical Engineering preferred. LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: None SALARY RANGE: $100,000 to $122,000 Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
