Job Description The Site Engineer - AFC will be responsible for supervising and managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems in metro projects. This role requires a professional with a strong engineering background, hands-on experience in AFC systems, and a focus on quality, safety, and timely project delivery. The candidate will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of AFC systems. Job Duties: Oversee day-to-day activities related to the installation and commissioning of AFC systems at the site. Ensure all AFC works are executed as per project plans, technical specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related AFC issues. Ensure timely availability of resources, materials, and equipment for uninterrupted site operations. Supervise the installation of AFC equipment, including ticket vending machines, gates, validators, and backend systems. Oversee the testing and commissioning of AFC systems to ensure proper functionality and integration. Conduct inspections and ensure that all AFC activities meet the required quality standards. Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in AFC works. Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards or risks identified. Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for submission to senior management. Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines. Provide technical guidance to contractors and resolve any engineering-related challenges on-site. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation related to AFC systems. Qualifications Graduate degree in Engineering (Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/Mechanical or related field). Additional Information Minimum 6 years of total professional experience, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on AFC systems. Hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of AFC systems in large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
