Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage logistical processes for a safe and efficient outcome for all projects.
  • Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide assistance to site staff by interpreting and carrying out directions for planning and construction site organising.
  • Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used.
  • Interpret plans, supervising and directing people working on the project.
  • Assist with costs and payments and negotiation with clients and subcontractors. 
  • Record construction progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications.
  • Project quality assurance documentation and project reports.
  • Communicating with subcontractors regarding project and contract requirements.

What we Require: 

  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive approach to change.
  • Organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply initiative to problem solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail and business awareness.
  • Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil
  • Engineering or similar.
  • Experience working as a site engineer on civil construction projects.
