City Projects is a Sydney-based commercial construction and fitout company delivering projects across the commercial, residential, health and remedial construction sectors in NSW and Victoria. We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our construction team, providing technical support and site oversight across our active project sites.
What you will be doing
- Interpreting and applying construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and proposing practical solutions
- Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards for project delivery
- Analysing site and structural conditions to inform practical engineering solutions
- Carrying out site inspections and monitoring construction progress, workmanship, quality and compliance
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and materials on day-to-day site activities
- Acting as technical point of liaison between project managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on scheduling and technical matters
- Preparing and maintaining technical site reports, RFIs, variations and progress documentation
- Supporting project close-out — outstanding works, defects, rectification and handover
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent formally assessed engineering qualification and experience
- Strong ability to read and apply construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Practical understanding of construction methods, materials and site sequencing
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and liaising with project stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Pay: $90,000.00 – $90,001.00 per year
