Job Title: Site Engineer – Water Civils
Location: West Yorkshire (site-based across the region)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in water civils to join our operational team covering sites across West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering clean and waste water infrastructure projects to the highest quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying for civil engineering works on water utility projects.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Supervising subcontractors and site operatives to ensure efficient progress.
  • Carrying out quality control inspections and compiling records for QA documentation.
  • Assisting with method statements, risk assessments, and daily site briefings.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and project managers on site progress and technical matters.
  • Supporting site HSEQ compliance, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on water-related civil engineering projects (clean water, wastewater, pipelines, etc.).
  • Proficient in using surveying equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations).
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering standards, specifications, and health & safety regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence (travel required across West Yorkshire sites).
  • EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) card – essential.
  • CSCS card – essential.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS – desirable.
  • Degree / HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent – preferred.
