An exciting career opportunity has become available within Downer's Asphalt & Products business for a Site Engineer based out of Hume, ACT. In this role, you will be given exposure to all operational facets of our business and direct responsibility within project delivery and compliance.  This role will be involved in all Site Engineering tasks including quality assurance and compliance, providing direction to crew members and liaising with customers. If you’re enthusiastic about civil engineering and eager to develop a broader expertise, this position offers the perfect balance of hands-on site work with the potential to grow into new areas of the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the delivery of allocated projects to agreed time, cost, quality and safety objectives. * Monitor project cost, program, safety and commercial performance. * Assist with risk identification, issue resolution and opportunity realisation. * Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Commercial teams. * Participate in project meetings and prepare reports and presentations as required. * Contribute to tendering, estimating and business development activities when required. * Build, maintain and grow strong client and stakeholder relationships. * Actively lead and promote a Zero Harm safety culture across all activities.   ABOUT YOU * Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or related disciplines. * Exposure in the road surfacing, civil road construction or road maintenance ideal. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction to crew members and effectively liaise with customers. * Successful track record with planning, organising and time management. * Commercial skills and understanding of financial administration and project costing advantageous. * Proven experience in identifying opportunities; improvements and solutions. * Demonstrated ability with building relationships with key stakeholders. * Enthusiasm with an aptitude for seeking further opportunities to make a significant contribution.   Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
