Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Site Engineer - Electrical / Data Bias to provide effective technical and administrative support to the Account Management team, while also ensuring the smooth and efficient processing and delivery of customer orders across a range of product groups.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A recognized electrical qualification (see below) is essential.
  • Experience of 3-phase commercial/industrial installations.
  • Some data experience would be advantageous.
  • Being flexible and adaptable is essential as our products are varied and there will be the requirement to work across our entire product range, including some mechanical items, such as changing valves, pumps, filters (after training).
  • A technical aptitude, with an interest in low carbon technologies.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Good MS Office skills are essential and experience of inputting and updating information in a CRM database would be ideal.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Level 3 electro-technical qualification
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
  • AM2
    Latest version of BS7671 IEE wiring regulations
    Additional Requirements:
  • Valid ECS card
  • Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To be a brand ambassador for SAV Aftersales, providing a first in class service to our customers in relation to delivering electrical commissioning, servicing and repairs of all SAV product groups, including data and metering.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commissioning, servicing and maintaining a wide range of SAV products, including electric boilers, commercial heat pumps, combined heat and power (CHPs), mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, heat interface units and metering EnergiRaven.
  • Ensuring that installers have carried out the installation correctly, with good quality workmanship and within all relevant regulations. This will involve undertaking a detailed inspection of their works, giving consideration to cable and overcurrent selection.
  • Carrying out required works in a safe and professional manner to ensure that the product/s are installed as per manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Some fault finding will be required, at times, across the whole product range.
  • Coordinating metering set-ups (usually connecting to M-bus or Modbus wiring).
  • Working on our mechanical ventilation with heat recovery product, which uses its own data wiring system, similar to RS485.
  • Assisting our mechanical Gas Safe engineers, as required.
  • Communicating professionally and courteously with clients and delivering a first in class service.
  • Generating accurate and timely site reports within our CRM system.
  • Participating in manufacturer and in-house CPD training to achieve the industry recognised qualifications required to carry out the role to the highest standards.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations and working safely at all times.
    The role may include some working away from home for short periods.
    The above list of duties is not exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
