Description

City Projects is a Sydney-based commercial construction and fitout company delivering projects for clients across commercial, residential, health and remedial construction sectors. We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our construction team, providing civil engineering input and technical site oversight across active project sites.

What you will be doing

  • Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards for project delivery
  • Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and proposing solutions
  • Organising site labour, materials, plant and equipment, and coordinating detailed site programs
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring progress, workmanship, quality and compliance against design requirements
  • Acting as technical point of liaison between project managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Preparing and maintaining technical site reports, RFIs, variations and progress documentation
  • Supporting project close-out — outstanding works, defects, rectification and handover

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent formally assessed engineering experience
  • Strong ability to read and apply construction drawings, plans and specifications
  • Practical understanding of construction methods, materials and site sequencing
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and liaising with project stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently within a small team
