Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Site Engineer, you will be joining us in delivering major improvements to the A47 in Norwich for our client National Highways. This is a project that will cut congestion, improve safety, and boost growth across the region.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Accurately establish levels, survey control, and set out works in line with contract drawings
  • Maintain precise records, diaries, and quality documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Support production of ITPs, task briefings, programmes, and as-built records
  • Carry out as-built surveys, material reconciliations, and ensure surveying equipment is calibrated
  • Coordinate setting out activities and provide clear information to operatives and subcontractors
  • Resolve technical issues and implement new processes, techniques, and innovations on site
  • Promote safe working practices, environmental compliance, and company procedures
  • Deliver works defect-free, ensuring timely handover and quality completion
  • Mentor and support junior/graduate engineers while encouraging best practice
  • Protect company property, minimise waste, and contribute to creating a safe, efficient site
